Organization: NirMānā Murals Seth Womble
Program Description: Collaborative mural project for their community gym and organic produce outlet in Waimea. A team of 15 boys from Waimea High were selected for a program to give them extracurricular projects to assist with their graduation credit. As a part of a collaborative student exchange program, Iwikua also brought over a group of 15 youth and 5 staff from Oakland (from an urban community farming project, A.N.V. Farm Project). All of these youth and staff were hands on learning about Hawaiian values, sustainable farming practices, health and wellness. Additionally they all had the opportunity to contribute to the MTC mural.
