SUMMARY:Anuhea Concert at The Porter Pavilion\, Anaina Hou Community Park
DESCRIPTION:Anuhea\nAnuhea embodies the perfect blend of talent\, determination\, passion\, and Hawaiian sunshine. A singer-songwriter from Maui\, she has over 15 years of experience in the music industry\, carving out a unique space for herself by combining everything from island reggae\, acoustic soul\, pop\, and even hip-hop into a sound that is honest\, emotional\, and unmistakably her own. \nHer catalogue of self-written songs has garnered multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano Awards\, including Female Vocalist of the Year in 2019\, and she has been featured on both Grammy-nominated and Grammy-winning albums. However\, referring to her solely as a musician does not capture her full range of talents. Anuhea is also an actor\, graphic designer\, creative director\, merch maker\, tour planner\, website builder\, content creator\, and a full-time mom. From album covers and logos to tour posters and social media visuals\, if you see something with her name on it\, there’s a good chance she created it herself. \nHer latest album\, “Lotus” commemorates 15 years since her debut and reflects the growth\, strength\, and self-discovery that come from forging one’s own path through all of life’s seasons. Anuhea skillfully balances her full-time music career with raising her son\, Ikena Jack\, who began touring with her even before he was born. Additionally\, she gives back to the community through her mental health podcast “Just Keep Jamming”\, her work with local non-profits and mentorship programs\, and her Aloha Always Foundation provides scholarships for Hawai’i students. \nWhether performing on a festival stage or jamming with keiki in a school gym\, Anuhea infuses humility\, humor\, and heart into everything she does. Even fewer bands leave a legacy during that time that marks them as a truly special\, once in lifetime type band. Any changes will be confirmed via email closer to the show date \nWho is Leftover Salmon?\nFew bands stick around for thirty years. Even fewer bands leave a legacy during that time that marks them as a truly special\, once in lifetime type band. And no band has done all that and had as much fun as Leftover Salmon. \nSince their earliest days as a forward thinking\, progressive bluegrass band who had the guts to add drums to the mix and who was unafraid to stir in any number of highly combustible styles into their ever evolving sound\, to their role as a pioneer of the modern jamband scene\, to their current status as elder statesmen of the scene who cast a huge influential shadow over every festival they play\, Leftover Salmon has been a crucial link in keeping alive the traditional music of the past while at the same time pushing that sound forward with their own weirdly\, unique style. \nSalmon is a band who over their thirty year career has never stood still; they are constantly changing\, evolving\, and inspiring. If someone wanted to understand what Americana music is they could do no better than to go to a Leftover Salmon show\, where they effortlessly glide from a bluegrass number born on the front porch\, to the down and dirty Cajun swamps with a stop on Bourbon Street in New Orleans\, to the hallowed halls of the Ryman in Nashville\, before firing one up in the mountains of Colorado. \nGuest Artists\nThis year marks our 4th Annual High Country Kaua’i and with it we are welcoming a whole new group of friends to help us celebrate in fine fashion. Friday will feature Holly Bowling\, Saturday Sam Bush\, and Sunday BEYA. \nFriday and Saturday from 3:30 PM – 5:30 PM our beautiful lanai stage overlooking the Makaleha mountain range and Wai Koa forest preserve will feature afternoon sets from Kapali Long and Jason Carter and Bronwyn Keith-Hynes. \nSaturday and Sunday from roughly 11 AM – 1 PM will both be greeted by the Pinehearts for our Bluegrass brunch with an extra special set of Mac Miller songs performed by Andy Thorn on Sunday. \nShow Details and Venue Rules\nThis show is ALL AGES. SUMMARY:E KANIKAPILA KAKOU 2026: Week 8 ~ Makana & Friends
DESCRIPTION:Summoning his broad influences and kumu lineage\, Makana weaves an intimate evening of uplifting and diverse song\, stringing together mele and moʻolelo with newly-invented and handed-down slack key tunings\, styles and untold stories. Rooted in all things Hawaiian yet ripe with cultural diversity\, this rare performance draws from his beloved classics as well as unheard\, unreleased repertoire. Join Makana for a night of music to kindle the flames of culture\, resilience and a path forward. \nMakana has dedicated his life to perpetuating and expanding the realm of Hawaiian slack key guitar. A student of Bobby Moderow Jr. and slack key legends Raymond Kāne and Sonny Chillingworth\, Makana’s virtuosic slack key guitar playing and instantly recognizable voice stand at the intersection of folk tradition and cultural avant-gardism. His songs have been featured on multiple Grammy-nominated records\, his music is ubiquitous on social platforms (over 1 billion impressions) and his dedication to communities throughout Hawaiʻi has touched countless lives. The NY Times calls him “dazzling” and Esquire magazine has referred to Makana as “one of the greatest living players” of Hawaiian slack key guitar. His music transcends category and trend\, and his onstage musical presence is- although purely acoustic- nothing short of symphonic.  \nMakana\, musician extraordinaire – singer – composer – slack key artist – storyteller – entertainer – man with a mission – a human being with kuleana – and then some. Every Makana performance is a unique experience and leaves you with a need for more. EKK Season 2026 will leave you with a desire for more of the same\, more of the extraordinary. Tickets

SUMMARY:OPERALOHA!
DESCRIPTION:OperAloha! \nChamber Music Kauai will be offering a one-night-only performance of OperAloha on Saturday\, March 7 at 7pm at St. Michael and All Angels Church in Lihue. Opera Aloha is a concert tour that blends opera with the diverse musical traditions of Hawaii\, presented by global opera talent. Over the past four years\, the series has showcased music in more than a dozen languages\, reflecting the cultural richness of the islands\, including Native Hawaiian\, Maori\, Samoan\, Chinese\, Japanese\, Korean\, Tagalog\, Portuguese\, and Spanish\, alongside traditional operatic repertoire in Italian\, French\, German\, and English. The program emphasizes personal storytelling and the shared tradition of ensemble singing\, something both opera and Hawaiian music deeply value. \nOne of the program’s special highlights will be a performance by hula dancer Jelacia Peralta\, who will be Kauai’s Miss Aloha Hula contestant at the Merrie Monarch Festival this April! \n>> Get Tickets << \nThe concert will feature Samoan soprano Aivale Cole\, who performs regularly across Europe and is known both as an opera singer and a film music performer. Many will recognize her soaring soprano voice from The Lord of the Rings. Also appearing is Maori-Chinese bass Morgan Andrew King\, currently based at the Frankfurt Opera and a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music. He will be joining the Paris Opera Ensemble this summer\, and just before coming to us\, he’ll be on an all-Maori concert tour in Switzerland\, making his appearance here especially meaningful. Tenor Christopher Oglesby\, based in San Francisco\, sings regularly with San Francisco Opera and Opera San Jose. He returns to the islands after a very successful appearance with Opera Aloha last season and brings both vocal power and a strong connection with local audiences. \nThe producer of Opera Aloha is concert pianist Ronny Michael Greenberg\, who has worked extensively in Hawaii since 2018\, including with the Hawaii Performing Arts Festival on the Big Island\, Kahilu Theatre\, and Hawaii Opera Theatre. Ronny returns to Hawaii Opera Theatre this April to work on their newly commissioned Hawaiian opera\, “Kamalehua: The Sheltering Tree”. \nA maximum of 150 tickets will be sold. Any tickets remaining at the time of the concert will be available for $30 by cash\, Hawaii check\, Zelle\, or Venmo. \n>> OperAloha << \nFor more information\, contact Chamber Music Kauai director Greg Shepherd at 808-482-1455 or broadwaypacificproductions@gmail.com.

SUMMARY:Eli-Mac + Her Band
DESCRIPTION:ELI-MAC\nEli-Mac’s story reads like a fairytale– it’s a musical journey which has turned into an impressive career that took flight with her debut release of her hit five-song EP\, entitled Dubstop EP. A proud Filipino growing up in Hawaii\, Ciara-Camile (Eli-Mac spelled backwards) Roque Velasco was a rebel early on\, combining her island music roots with her love of R&B and hip-hop. At the age of 18\, Camile’s journey took shape when she landed a spot on the hit TV show American Idol as a Top 10 finalist on Season 3. From there\, Eli-Mac went on to record a version of Bob Marley’s “Guava Jelly\,” produced by his son Stephen Marley\, at Tuff Gong Studios in Jamaica. The track earned her the Hawaii Music Awards’ “Single of the Year.” Since then\, Eli-Mac has been touring relentlessly across the US and beyond. A new studio album is currently in the works for this year\, following up on her latest release “Resume” featuring Collie Buddz. \nEli-Mac’s musical and fashion style comes from growing up in the ‘90s listening to Lauryn Hill\, Salt-N-Pepa\, TLC\, and Erykah Badu along with hip-hop icons Wu-Tang Clan\, Nas\, Tupac Shakur\, and Mobb Deep. She shared her mom’s love of ‘70s disco and ‘80s Madonna\, while her father turned her onto ‘60s classic rock and jazz from The Eagles and The Doors to Billie Holiday. She discovered her sound by combining her three favorite genres – roots reggae\, hip-hop and R&B – creating the groundbreaking Dubstop EP with subsequent dub-wise\, rootsy songs like “Can’t Get Enough” and “Roots Girl.” Earlier releases\, like the slinky “Mr. Sensi” featuring Conkarah\, represent Eli-Mac’s unique urban island style and support for cannabis culture. \n“I am proud to incorporate my upbringing in Hawaii into my music. That culture remains important to me…” \nBy rebranding herself as Eli-Mac\, Camile has been able to step outside herself – and the limitations put on her by others. She has emerged into a rebellious\, confident\, polarizing performer\, not an alter ego\, as she insists – but a truer version of her real self. \n“Eli-Mac is an extension of who I really am\,” she explains. “And that has allowed me the\nultimate freedom to finally be myself without conforming to any of the stereotypes the industry imposes on women.” \nEli-Mac has shared the stage with iconic artists like Gwen Stefani\, Sublime\, Lauryn Hill\, Shaggy\, Stephen Marley\, Iration\, SOJA\, Collie Buddz\, J Boog and Common Kings\, just to name a few. \nShow Date\nSaturday\, March 7\, 2026 \nShow Details\n5:30 PM: Doors Open\n6:30 PM: Music \nTimes subject to change.
