This unforgettable event will take place at Kauai’s premier live music venue\, The Porter Pavilion located at Anaina Hou Community Park. \nWho is Leftover Salmon?\nFew bands stick around for thirty years. Even fewer bands leave a legacy during that time that marks them as a truly special\, once in lifetime type band. And no band has done all that and had as much fun as Leftover Salmon. \nSince their earliest days as a forward thinking\, progressive bluegrass band who had the guts to add drums to the mix and who was unafraid to stir in any number of highly combustible styles into their ever evolving sound\, to their role as a pioneer of the modern jamband scene\, to their current status as elder statesmen of the scene who cast a huge influential shadow over every festival they play\, Leftover Salmon has been a crucial link in keeping alive the traditional music of the past while at the same time pushing that sound forward with their own weirdly\, unique style. \nSalmon is a band who over their thirty year career has never stood still; they are constantly changing\, evolving\, and inspiring. If someone wanted to understand what Americana music is they could do no better than to go to a Leftover Salmon show\, where they effortlessly glide from a bluegrass number born on the front porch\, to the down and dirty Cajun swamps with a stop on Bourbon Street in New Orleans\, to the hallowed halls of the Ryman in Nashville\, before firing one up in the mountains of Colorado. \nGuest Artists\nFriday Night Features Lindsay Lou \nSaturday Night Features Sierra Hull \nSunday Matinee Features Tavana \n\n\n\nWhat’s included\n\nThis is GA standing room show. SUMMARY:Grammy-Nominated Anat Cohen Quartetinho
DESCRIPTION:“Anat does what all authentic musicians do: She tells stories from her own\nexperiences that are so deeply felt that they are very likely to connect listeners\nto their own dreams\, desires and longings.”\n– Nat Hentoff \nEver charismatic\, prolific and inspired\, Grammy-nominated clarinetist-saxophonist Anat\nCohen has won hearts and minds the world over with her expressive virtuosity and\ndelightful stage presence. The New York Times writes\, “Ms. Cohen on the clarinet was a\nrevelation. Using the clarinet’s upper register\, she could evoke infectious joy. In the lower\nregister\, her playing could conjure a deep\, soulful melancholy. On up-tempo numbers\, her\nimprovisations weren’t just bebop fast; they had a clarity and deep intelligence that is really\nquite rare. She made it look effortless\, even as she was playing the most technically\ndifficult of all the reed instruments… she took my breath away.” \nFor more information\, visit https://www.anatcohen.com/.
