DESCRIPTION:ONE NIGHT ONLY!! \nThe PRISM Club at Kaua’i Community College is proud to present its annual full-participation showing of the original cult-classic feature film THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW at the Kaua’i Community College Performing Arts Center\, a joyous celebration of the queer community. This year’s event will feature a floor show with an emcee\, “virgin sacrifices\,” costume contests\, and a shadowcast leading shoutouts and participation during the film. \nFRIDAY\, NOVEMBER 20\, 2026\, at the Kaua’i Community College Performing Arts Center \nGENERAL ADMISSION DOORS OPEN at 9:30 PM. \nFLOOR SHOW at 10:00; FILM to follow \n$10 general admission; $8 student admission\nTickets available at the door for $15\nProp packages available for $5 \nBUY TICKETS at https://go.hawaii.edu/nHi \nThe Rocky Horror Picture Show (RHPS) is not so much a campy 1975 musical comedy as it is a cultural phenomenon. Don’t just “dream it” — “be it” and come join us for an inclusive evening of fun. Costumes are welcome and partici…pation is fully encouraged. Prop packages (“Stuff to Throw”)\, containing all the items you need to participate (and instructions if you don’t know how)\, are available to purchase for $5 at the same time as ticket purchase\, or at the event. All proceeds from this event will go to the PRISM* Club at Kaua’i Community College to host other LGBTQ+ friendly events on campus\, provide LGBTQ+ education and advocacy at KCC\, and fund the club’s participation in the annual Kaua’i Pride Parade. \nPLEASE: no food (rice\, toast) or cleaning-intensive items (confetti\, glitter\, water guns). We know they’re fun\, but they attract pests and make a lot of extra work for the clean-up crew! \nCONTENT ADVISORY: Although quite “tame” by today’s standards\, THE ROCKY HORROR PICTURE SHOW is a rated R film\, containing mature content (including sexual themes and coarse language) unsuitable for young children\, homophobes\, and the faint of heart. While we cherish RHPS as a landmark film for the queer community\, we also acknowledge the problematic plot points regarding consent and representation that reflect the world as it existed in the 1970s. \n*PRISM stands for Pride\, Raising Awareness\, Involvement\, Support\, and Mentoring. The club is open to all KCC STUDENTS\, faculty\, and staff: those who identify as LGBTQ+ themselves\, those with loved ones who identify as LGBTQ+\, and allies interested in advocating for LGBTQ+ equality. \nThis event is officially sponsored by the University of Hawai’i Commission on LGBTQ+ Equality. \n
