The choice of courses allows you to test your endurance or just stroll along while enjoying some of the most beautiful ocean views on Kaua‘i’s South Shore. Race jerseys are included with registration. After the races a delicious breakfast will be served compliments of Keoki’s Paradise\, iced mocha from Kaua‘i Coffee\, fruit and juice from Brennecke’s Beach Broiler. Awards will be given for 1st through 3rd place for each race course as well as for the winners in each age group division. Special awards will be given to all youth under 10 years who participate in the keiki run!\nChoose to Race… or Walk!\n1 Mile Keiki Run Start Time: 8:30am for aspiring athletes 10 years & under; in the park.\n5K Run/Walk (3.1 miles) Start Time: 7am Perfect for everyone – and all ages! Walkers\, joggers\, sprinters or strollers – bring the entire family to walk\, ride or jog together.\n10K Run (6.2 miles) Start Time: 6:45am test your speed and endurance!\n10 Mile Walk Start Time: 6am Newly added for those who are committed to the distance but not the high impact!\n10 Mile Run Start Time: 6:30am For those who are training for The Kaua‘i Marathon /Half Marathon or any distance running! There is a family/team discount of $5 per person when registering 3 or more persons at one time for any family or team – but only up until July 25th – so register NOW! \nRegular Packet Pick‐Up and Late Registration \nPacket Pick-up (includes race bib number and race jersey) and Late Registration: Saturday\, July 25th from 2-5pm at Po‘ipū Beach Park – (look for the Family Fun Run Banner at one of the Waiohai side pavilions) \nAdditional late charge of $5 applies to all registration (except 1-Mile Keiki Run) after 5 pm Friday\, July 24th\, 2026 \nDay of Race Packet Pick‐Up and Late Registration: \n5:30am-6:30am Sunday\, July 26 \nRunners can pick up packets and register for any event up to the starting time. \nFamily and Team Discount of $5 off the registration fee is still available until midnight on Friday7/24. SUMMARY:24th Heiva i Kaua’i Tahitian Dance Competitions
DESCRIPTION:Heiva i Kauai Tahitian Dance Competition 2026 \nIn 2026\, Heiva I Kaua`i celebrates the 24th anniversary of a unique\, exciting and colorful Tahitian dance and drumming competition. This annual event provides a venue for performers of all ages to present their talent\, skill and cultural knowledge to an audience of more than 1\,400 attendees daily! On Saturday and Sunday\, August 1st and 2nd\, from 9am to 5pm\, come and enjoy this community-sponsored\, family-centered celebration of Tahitian culture at the Kapa`a Beach Park (4-1464 Kuhio Highway). Participants from Hawai`i\, the mainland and abroad\, with a range in age from toddler to elder\, perform solo and group competition and exhibition dances portraying legends and stories of Tahiti. Event admission is $8 at the door. Children aged 12 and under are admitted free. \nAfter opening ceremonies\, solo competitions are held on Saturday\, starting with the youngest age groups and continuing through adults\, until the championship dance-offs in the afternoon. Solo categories include traditional otea vahine and tane\, for junior\, senior and master (age 26+) divisions. Group categories include otea\, aparima\, ahupurotu and drumming. Heiva I Kaua`i offers an amateur/youth group category for contestants under age 19. Group competition is scheduled for Sunday.  Please see the Heiva i Kauai website for additional information at http://www.heivaikauai.com. \nOver 45 vendors offer an extensive array of Tahitian and other Pacific Island gifts\, jewelry\, art\, woodwork and clothing. Food vendors sell a variety of ethnic foods. Artists provide demonstrations of Polynesian crafts.  Silent Auction both days from 9am to 2pm with incredible offers from local businesses and creators. \nHeiva i Kaua`i is grateful for support from the Hawaii Tourism Authority and the Kaua’i business community.
