The fourth annual event will take place Saturday\, April 11\, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Kaua‘i War Memorial Convention Hall. \nHosted by the County of Kaua‘i Office of Economic Development and the Kaua‘i Economic Development Board\, the event brings together local organizations\, cultural practitioners\, and community leaders working to care for our island home.  \nThis year’s theme\, Mālama ʻĀina\, Mālama Kai\, Mālama Kākou\, highlights the connection between caring for land\, ocean\, and people to build a more resilient and sustainable Kaua‘i. \nBring the whole ‘ohana and enjoy a morning of learning\, culture\, and fun\, including: \n\nCommunity Exhibits: Connect with more than 20 local organizations working in agriculture\, conservation\, and sustainability.\nHands-On Demonstrations: Learn from cultural practitioners through activities such as niu weaving\, lei-making\, and caring for culturally significant plants at home.\nEntertainment & Giveaways: Enjoy live entertainment with emcees Chanel Flores and Nick Kaneakua\, plus prize giveaways throughout the event.\n\nCelebrate\, learn\, and be inspired by the people and practices that mālama our island.
